Dr. Nicholas Short is an Associate Professor and Co-Chief of the Section of Developmental Therapeutics in the Department of Leukemia at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He completed internal medicine residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, followed by hematology/oncology fellowship at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he has been faculty since 2017. Dr. Short is a clinical and translational investigator in adult leukemias, with a particular emphasis on measurable residual disease and phase I clinical trials in acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Dr. Short has authored over 350 peer-reviewed manuscripts (including over 70 as first author) and numerous abstracts that have been presented at national and international conferences, including the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. For his accomplishments in the field of leukemia research he has received numerous awards, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology Young Investigator Award and the American Society of Hematology Junior Faculty Scholar Award in Clinical Research.
