Dr. Elisa ten Hacken, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Cancer Biology in the Department of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine, NYC. She is an experimental biologist with longstanding interest in CLL and RS and postdoctoral research experience in the labs of Jan Burger and Catherine Wu. Her research is currently focused on comprehensively investigating the functional role of prevalent disease drivers of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and Richter’s syndrome (RS), as she has recently developed innovative mouse models of RS via CRISPR-Cas9 based gene editing. Her research group is funded by the NCI, LLS, ASH, LRF and CLL Global Research Foundation.
