Rena Buckstein, MD, FRCPC, is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto, Toronto, Canada, and a Hematologist at Odette Cancer Centre – Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, Canada. Dr Buckstein began her medical training at Boston University, Boston, MA, before qualifying as an FRCPC at the University of Toronto. Specializing in lymphoma, Dr Buckstein went on to complete a fellowship at Odette Cancer Center.

An expert in lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), Dr Buckstein is the Director of the MDS Research Program at Odette. She is also the Director of the Canadian National MDS Registry, a prospective clinical database and tissue bank interested in the impact of patient-related factors and quality of life in MDS.
