Priv.-Doz. Dr. med. Dr. phil. Amin Turki, studied Medicine and Philosophy of Science at the Universities of Münster, Paris Descartes, Ecole Normale Supérieure and Harvard University. He earned his MD from the University of Münster, Germany (2010) and his PhD from Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris, France (2014). He received his clinical training at the University Hospitals of Cologne and Essen and is currently Deputy-head of the Department of Hematology and Oncology at the University Hospital Bochum and group leader at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine at the University Hospital Essen. Since 2018, he established and led the junior research group “Computational Hematology”, has conducted and successfully completed the BMBF-funded e-Health project “XplOit”) and the EU IMI-funded project “Harmony Alliance” for University Hospital Essen. His main areas of expertise are malignant hematology, cellular therapy and graft-versus-host disease, data-science and application of machine learning models in Hematology.
